Make-Work-Draw-Play: From the little Sketchbook

My friend made me a sketchpad out of a stack of papers from his church. I won't put everything up, but here are some memorable sketches! All done with pencil, and the paper has words and a grid on the back, so please excuse the poor quality!

Top Left A jellyfish, at least, that's what its supposed to be.
Top Right "The Hunchback of Nerd-tre Dame" (My friend came up with the title).
Left Still life on the windowsill in social studies class. Pencil sharpeners, a cup with a pencil, and a.... sculpture thing.

Bottom Left "Stir Fry". It is what it is....
Bottom Right I Call this "Teatime" although I'm at a bit of a loss to explain it myself. Look at it and enjoy!! This one is actually separate from the sketchbook.

This blog is a place showcasing the various projects I've worked on in the past, various projects i'm currently working on, as well as some of my music and art!

Technology

I've always been interested in the way things work, and have been taking apart anything i can get my hands on ever since i learned how to use a screwdriver.

These projects that i've built vary in complexity and scale, and though many of them may seem whimsical or nonsensical in nature, i try to learn or take something out of each one. In addition, these projects are in a way an application of the things that I've learned, as well as signifying the experience they brought through their creation.

Art

I've been drawing and painting ever since I was a child, and I've continued to create artwork as a pastime. I took drawing lessons for a year and a half at GAGE of Seattle, other than that, I learned everything on my own. I work with charcoal, pencil, ink, watercolor, and acrylics, as well as digital media. I also work in 3D, primarily using Blender. Most of my 3d work is done on low polygon budgets. I'm also the graphics editor and draw for my school newspaper, The Roosevelt News.

Music

Music has always been a large part of my life: I play two instruments- piano and trumpet. I've played piano for 10 years, and trumpet for 8. I play both jazz and classical on both instruments. I play piano for myself at home, but I play trumpet in the second Roosevelt Jazz Band. I have also played in the Roosevelt Symphonic Band, as well as the Roosevelt Symphonic Orchestra.
